A REDDITCH soldier has been sharing the limelight with an Eastenders star in a new television drama about the Royal Military Police.
Cpl Nicky Amphlett, 22, was an extra in BBC production Red Cap, which stars Tamsin Outhwaite as Sgt Jo McDonagh, a member of the RMP's Special Investigations Branch who is drafted in to track down a murderer in Germany.
Cpl Amphlett, who went to school in Bromsgrove and whose family lives in Redditch, is a member of 160 Provost Company.
She and three of her colleagues were originally just asked to take Land Rovers from their Aldershot base to the set in Chertsey but ended up giving advice on all aspects of the military police.
