Striker Andy Ducros returned from the wilderness to fire a vital goal and spur on Kidderminster Harriers play-off challenge at home to Darlington.
Ducros finished well in the second half on 53 minutes and could have gone on to add to his tally as Harriers outgunned the visitors.
Before his strike however, it looked like injury-hit Harriers might have to settle for a draw against a competent outfit who defended solidly.
Darlington had right-back Simon Betts sent off two minutes from time but they were already a beaten team.
