THE propagandist in favour of the downgrading of Kidderminster Hospital and closure of the A&E department should take note of my experience.
Unfortunately, after a fall on the ice and banging my head, I had to attend the minor injuries unit. I was cleaned up and told if I had any problems to go to Ronkswood.
My problem was I was not fit to drive. I could not really knock a neighbour's door to take me there and the taxi fare would be excessive.
If Kidderminster still had a proper hospital there would be no problem.
JOHN NORWOOD,
Kidderminster.
