MANAGER John Barton praised his Worcester City side after they thumped six goals past struggling Salisbury City at the weekend.
The St George's Lane boss survived what can only be described as an injury nightmare to record the club's biggest league win since Barton arrived at the club in November 1999.
City, with just 10 fit players ahead of the Dr Martens Premier clash, demolished the Whites, helped by a Darren Bullock hat-trick and debutants Mark Shail and Adam Webster.
"The week up to Saturday wasn't the best but it was finished off with the perfect result," said Barton.
"I thought the first-half display was outstanding. Disregarding Salisbury being bottom of the table, because we've had them watched a few times and there's a little bit of spirit of there, but our performance just knocked that spirit back."
Barton described the opening goal by Stewart Hadley, courtesy of a threaded Bullock pass and Webster cross, as the best he had seen this season.
"The first goal wasn't a 30-yarder into the top corner, but that was as good a goal as I've seen this season - good running off the ball by Adam, Darren sees him and Stewart works hard to get across the near post and finishes it off - an absolutely outstanding goal," he said.
Webster's debut also drew praise from his new manager. "It was a tremendous debut and he deserved a goal.
"He's been in bed all week with 'flu and we were not sure if his debut was going to be today but he came out and I saw enough today to know he's going to be a real asset to this club," he said.
"There were strong performances all over the pitch. The two lads were tremendous up front.
"In midfield Carl Heeley's come in and done a super job, we thank Mark Shail for his help and I think Nathan Jukes had his best game for a long while. Paul Carty also showed what he can do. I could go on and on listing our strengths."
City have fresh injury worries over Heeley and Carty, but Barton was hopeful both would be fit for the trip to Hednesford Town next Saturday.
Shail, who stepped in to help City on a one-off basis after being released by Kidderminster last week, is taking a week to consider his playing future.
