LEDBURY Rugby Club claimed a shock 15-3 win at Droitwich in Midlands Four West (South) as Matt Blackmore had a day to forget.
The usually reliable kicker missed seven chances to turn around the game for Droitwich as their season nose-dived.
Ledbury, however, sensed an upset after Blackmore's misses and with Dave Robinson's penalty were 3-3 at half-time.
A dressing down from coach Rob Collins seemed to do the trick for the visitors and they went ahead with a Pete Butler try after a fine 20-yard run soon after the break.
Robinson converted and Ledbury led 10-3. A crash ball from Dave Pickering then set up Olie Kaye on the wing for a 30 yard dash, jinking inside the Droitwich 22 to end the scoring for the day.
n Leamington 8 Pershore 6
Pershore had the lions share of possession but could not turn dominance into points.
Leamington started the game at a furious pace, but Pershore soaked up the pressure, and with their excellent defence, the home side came away with nothing.
Robin Haines then put the visitors in front and soon into the second half another infringement saw Haines kick his second to extend the lead. Leamington, however, hit back with a penalty and cruelly on the final whistle from a line-out five metres from the Pershore line, a catch and drive enabled the Leamington prop to scramble over for a try and secure an improbable win.
