PLANS for a museum dedicated to the soldiers and families from the regiments of Worcestershire have now been unveiled, but the project team needs your memories to complete the work.
The Worcestershire Regiment, Worcestershire Yeomanry and Worcester City Museums are combining together to create the Worcestershire Soldier Project at the City Museum and Art Gallery, in Foregate Street.
The permanent exhibition, due to open in spring 2003, will tell the story of men, women and children from the forces in times of peace and war.
Did you serve in the Worcestershire Regiment, the Worcestershire Yeomanry or the Worcester Gunners? Or were you in the WRVS, ARP, Land Army or Red Cross?
If so, researcher Stuart Hadaway from the city museum wants to hear from you, as the material will be archived and possibly used in the new display.
A Worcester at War section, based on the words and memories of those who lived and worked in the city, will also be a feature. Mr Hadaway can be contacted on 01905 25371.
