VANDALS broke into the premises of a Redditch charity and damaged a computer last Saturday night.
The base of Redditch and Bromsgrove Sea Cadets, Ts Kingfisher, in Park Farm, was targeted and now organisers fear it will be the young members who will pay the price.
The computer was donated, meaning it will have to be replaced and repairs to the window smashed by the thieves will come out of money raised by the cadets last year.
The organisation for 10 to 18 year olds follows the traditions of the Royal Navy and provides youngsters with the chance to take part in activities.
Last Sunday, 14 of the cadets beat off nine other groups in a drill and ceremonial competition and will now take part in a Midland area contest in Plymouth.
