AN organic Worcester garden will be thrown open to the public as part of a nationwide campaign to encourage people to take an interest in healthier food.
People throughout Worcestershire are invited to the Walled Garden to learn about composting and view the flower, herb and vegetable gardens.
A selection of sculptures, created by Alan Jack, will trail through the garden, which also boasts fruit areas and a wild garden.
"We open the garden for other charities, but this is a really special weekend for organic gardens," said Julia Scott, who owns and tends the garden with her husband William.
Own back garden
"Gardens all over the country are opening to the public to show people how organic gardening can work in their own back garden.
"All of the profits are going to the Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA), into organic gardening."
Members of the Worcestershire Organic Gardening Group will be on hand over the open weekend, between Saturday, June 15 and Sunday 16, to answer any questions.
The open days at the garden, in Rose Terrace, off Fort Royal Hill, run from noon to 5pm and more details are available from 01905 354629.
