THE collection for Christian Aid last week made £334.15 - the organisers were delighted and would like to thank all who helped with the collection and everyone who gave so generously.
The courses being held in the Memorial Hall have been well supported and plans are being made to offer more of these during the summer holidays and in the autumn. These are likely to include computer studies (Nick Gurney 01432 267820), Pilates, garden design, art, French conversation (Meg Hughes 07980 277085) and bridge (01531 633475).
The annual general meeting of the new Village Hall, the first since it opened last November, will be held on Monday, June 10 at 7.30pm.
The meeting will elect the committee for 2002/3, review the events of the past year and consider the sort of programme which residents would like to see arranged in the future. It is hoped that there will be a good turnout so that the most can be made of our hall.
