BOSBURY villagers banded together on Monday to enjoy communal Jubilee celebrations in their village hall.
Due to the heavy rain, the celebrations were relocated at the last minute from the school playing field to the shelter of the hall's rooms.
A mass of plates laden with cakes, scones and sandwiches, contributed by villagers, created a fantastic spread over an enormous L-shaped table.
Children sat down to enjoy the feast at 3.30pm after singing the national anthem and in between playing skittles, jam jar and parachute games and having their faces painted.
Schoolgirl Phillipa Anderson won a decorated hat competition while other children took prizes for jam jar flower displays and mini garden creations.
Hundreds of numbered rubber ducks also helped to raise money for the occasion by competing in three races down the River Leadon.
Master of ceremonies and main party organiser Robert Hood-Wright said the Jubilee had been a successful community event. He said: "We had a slightly slow start but as the weather has improved it has filled up."
