HAS anyone noticed that while Ledbury, Tewkesbury and Upton all have Union Jacks and bunting waving in abundance from shops and general areas, Malvern has an uncoordinated and apologetic odd flag erected by a valiant shop owner.
The town looks dead in comparison to local villages and towns. Example always starts from the top. One flag over the tourist bureau is not enough.
Has anyone noticed that the Winter Gardens lake is choked with weed so the ducks are stuck at the distant end? Has anyone noticed the lake is positively abrim with discarded bottles, cans, paper, other rubbish and a tennis bat. What a draw for the visitor. What a pride for residents.
If the council is unprepared to address these most obvious needs to revitalise our town, how can it expect enthusiasm from public meetings and glossy leaflets?
