A FORMER pupil at Malvern College has been appointed chairman of the Boarding Schools Association.
Quentin Edwards studied at the Malvern school from 1966 to 1971, during which time he was music scholar and head of his house, before going on to gain an Oxford degree in English Literature.
He subsequently taught at Bradfield College, Berkshire, and in 1988 was seconded to the Department of Health to work on procedures for the inpection of boarding schools.
He is currently headmaster of Bilton Grange Prep School, near Rugby.
Mr Edwards said: "I still believe boarding provides the best possible educational experience for children. In prep schools we are daily opening parents' eyes to the opportunity and range of education on offer in our boarding schools."
