AN improved performance from Nomads saw them collect some much-needed points.
WORCESTER NOMADS v MARTLEY
Martley batted first and were kept in check by a good all-round bowling performance, spearheaded by Jinks with 4-16 and Wooler with 3-58, backed by tight fielding. Only Hopkins with 62 and McDonald with 58 stood in the way of an early dismissal for a low total. In the end Martley were more than happy with 190.
In reply the runs were shared around, with another solid start from Jones and Harris, forming a good understanding. Dixon continued the work, but Huw Dimond, at 16, making his first senior game of the season shone, with 37, keeping the home side on track. When he fell, it was back to the rearguard action, to ensure points were gained.
