SPECSAVERS, which has a branch in Worcester's Broad Street, has been named the most trusted optician by British consumers.
The group received 39 per cent of the votes, twice that of its nearest rival, Boots Opticians, in the Reader's Digest European Trusted Brands survey 2002.
More than 2,000 people were canvassed in the survey, which asked them to identify the brand they trusted most in 30 categories, ranging from car and credit card companies to holiday firms and high street retailers.
Specsavers will now be able to display the widely recognised Trusted Brands logo.
