NURSING and old people's accommodation is declining through cutbacks, lack of investment and lack of council/government support.

It's a complex problem to solve and, as such, requires massive investment.

But the powers-that-be can propose, design, plan, and implement the construction of a state of the art centre for some 700-plus "asylum seekers" against all advice and local objections.

I've got a great idea. For the same price, in the same place, we could build a high specification home for 500 old people from this county who have contributed all their lives to the wealth of this land, just as fast, and with all the enthusiasm given to asylum seekers' accommodation.
