THE effective use of knowledge in organisations will be the topic at University College Worcester's Centre for Business Projects' third annual conference.
The conference, which is entitled Competitive Advantage in the Knowledge Economy, is due to take place on Monday, June 17.
It aims to provide businesses with practical approaches to securing competitive advantage and will kick off with a talk by John Edwards, chief executive of the region's development agency, Advantage West Midlands.

"Economic growth in the West Midlands can be improved tremendously by concentrating on promoting knowledge-based, high value-added businesses, diversifying the regional economy, improving skills and increasing productivity," said Mr Edwards.
The conference also includes contributions from Jo Hamilton-Jones, senior IT lecturer at UCW, together with other speakers, as well as workshops and the chance to make contacts with other businesses.
It is due to take place in the UCW conference centre and will starts at 1pm.
