AN up and coming golfer has missed out on representing her club in Ireland because of her age.
Amanda Purcell, aged 14, won the Millennium International Mixed Pairs Classic with Terry Hartley on Sunday, June 2.
But, because she is under 18, Amanda is unable to represent the club at the next round in Ireland.
Instead, the honour goes to the second place pair of Martin and Sam Lawrence.
Amanda was also second in the Worcestershire Junior Girls' County Championship, at Droitwich Golf Club, on Wednesday, June 5.
The competition was all part of a busy Jubilee weekend at Gaudet Luce Golf Club, in Hadzor, with various events played over the holiday period.
The ladies' invitational was won by Sam Lawrence and her partner on Saturday, June 1.
More than £700 was also raised for Cancer Research with a fun golf competition on Monday, June 3.
