BROMSGROVE Golf Club has finished second in the annual Birmingham and District 17-24 League Woodward Cup.
One hundred and twenty golfers from 14 clubs converged on the club to compete in the event.
In the betterball stroke play competition, the Bromsgrove team scored a total of 269 strokes, just six strokes behind the winners Hatchford Brook.
The Bromsgrove 17-24 Handicap team was represented by Mike Thomas and Jeff Rushton, Barry Claridge and Terry Thompson, Peter Rooke and Gerald Woodcock, Tony Annis and Clive Nash.
Bromsgrove also face Redditch in the second round of the Birmingham & District 17-24 Vale & Robinson Trophy.

Pairs Stableford Competition (Sunday, May 26).
First, K Plowman and M Hawkins 39pts; second, S Hughes and B Roe 38pts better back nine; third, I Barber and M Dale 38pts.
Bromsgrove Seniors drew 3-3 with Abbey Park. The team was M Trudgill and D Went, D Thomas and J Mee, D Gardner and J Foster, K Cresswell and A Escott, T Aykroyd and C Howes, and G Brooks and G Ison.
