BARNT Green Spartak Football Club could be celebrating promotion within the next 24 hours after their ground share agreement got the go-ahead.
Spartak are waiting on the outcome of a meeting of Midland Combination league officials, held last Monday, to see whether they are to be granted promotion to division one, despite finishing fourth in division two.
Next season, the club is sharing with Midland Combination division one outfit Kenilworth Town and last Sunday had the Gipsy Lane ground approved by league inspectors.
Manager GJ Singh said: "I'm confident but very nervous. We have done all we can.
"We have the ground and we are hoping there's an opening and that we will get it."
Burman Hi Ton and Stockington have already been promoted but Mile Oak Rovers have resigned from division one, leaving an extra place.
Favourites for that spot are Enville, who finished third, but if their ground is not deemed good enough then Spartak could get the nod.
