A BARNT Green organisation, which has gone from strength to strength since its formation in January, is urging more members to join their lively club.

Friendship Club of Barnt Green, which now has over 40 members, both men and women, meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 2.15pm.

The group, which meets at The Friends Meeting House, in Sandhills Road, are urging the public to join them for their next guest speaker, Marian Canning, who will give a talk on being "A Toastmaster-An Unusual Job for a Lady."

Over the past six months speakers have covered various topics such as Nutrition and Health, Seasonal Cooking, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and The Royal Yacht Britannia.

A visit to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham will take place on Tuesday, June 25, and the club is looking forward to their forthcoming garden parties.
