A NEWSLETTER bringing the people of a Droitwich Spa parish together has been officially named.
The Hanbury Herald is the title for the community project which aims to inform villagers about parish activity, events and organisations.
It was distributed in March and in the first issue readers were asked to suggest a name for the publication.
Twenty-five people responded and the judges selected the Hanbury Herald, which was suggested by three householders who all won prizes.
Clare Stallard, of School Road, is editor of the free newsletter which will include regular updates from Hanbury Parish Council, the local church and the police.
There is an editorial team of nine residents and the Hanbury Herald is distributed to every household in the village on a three monthly basis.
The cost for the first year has been raised through sponsorship from local businesses and the parish council.
Future funding will be raised via adverts placed in the newsletter.
Clare said: "People I meet when I'm walking the dog or visiting the pub tell me how much they enjoyed the first issue and are looking forward to the second one."
Clare can be contacted on 01527 821917.
