THE region's Chamber of Commerce has extended its contract with a leading integrated software solutions provider, to the tune of £1.6m.
In July 2001, iRevolution completed the first phase of the contract and integrated all of the Chamber of Commerce, Herefordshire and Worcestershire's business processes into one centralised software and data resource.
Called KnowledgeDesk, it is hosted and managed by iRevolution for a monthly subscription.
The chamber has now signed a rolling three-year contract, which extends the original contract for at least another two years, with the total anticipated value expected to be £1.6m.
"Technology is not our core competency," said Christine Jones, the chamber's chief executive.
"Since KnowledgeDesk is developed and hosted by iRevolution, we are able to concentrate on our client's needs and expand our service capabilities, content in the knowledge that our IT is reliably and securely administered for us.
"The commercial and technical expertise of the team at iRevolution has aided the chamber in building an enhanced service and by extending the contract for an out-sourced solution, I believe we are better able to focus on the needs of our users now and in the future."
