A MASKED robber held the manager of a Redditch video store at knife-point before stealing a large amount of cash and two Sony PlayStations.
The robbery happened at Blockbuster, Trafford Park, Smallwood, at about 11.40pm on Sunday, June 2.
The 24-year-old manager was locking up when a man wearing lots of dark clothing, with a scarf covering his face, approached him.
He threatened the manager with a knife and demanded he opened up the store.
Once inside, the man ordered the manager to take him to the office where he let a second thief in through a fire door.
After stealing the cash and PlayStations the men escaped leaving the manager, who suffered slight facial injuries, locked in the office.
He was able to alert police using his mobile phone and a police dog tracked the men to Holloway Lane before losing them.
DC Marcus Carter said: "We're awaiting results from the forensic examinations carried out at the shop and are hopeful they will provide us with vital information.
"Although it was late when this offence occurred, there may have been people around, going home after a night out in the town, who saw two men acting suspiciously in the area."
Anyone with information can call DC Carter on 584888 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
