SWIMMING: Claire Cashmore won a silver and two bronzes in five events at the DSE National Open Swimming Long Course championships for different classifications of disability.
The event at Ponds Forge was a time trial for the Commonwealth Games and attracted 28 nations, including Australia and New Zealand.
It was the first time Cashmore had the opportunity to achieve times in a 50-metre pool and qualifies her for several events.
This includes future Commonwealth and Olympic Games which the Wyre Forest Swimming Club star could not make on her 25m times.
She earned a silver in the 100m breaststroke for a one minute 32.22 seconds time, a bronze in the 100m butterfly in 1-27.59 and third in the 200m individual medley (3-04.03).
Cashmore, of Kidderminster, was fastest British swimmer in all her medal-winning events.
In the 50m freestyle, Cashmore swam 34.11 for sixth place and second fastest Brit behind Lara Ferguson.
She recorded 1-16.58 for seventh and second fastest Brit in the 100m freestyle.
