STOURPORT continues to be a very popular resort town, attracting thousands of visitors to enjoy our riverside meadows, historic basins and traditional hospitality.
The jubilee weekend, being two Bank Holidays rolled into one, brought double the numbers of visitors and, regrettably, double the amount of litter.
Driving through the town on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening, one wondered where on earth the volume of litter could possibly have come from.
More to the point, who was going to clear it away?
Answer? The litter blitz team.
By 8am each day, Stourport was spotless and ready for business.
May I say a personal "well done" as a resident of Stourport, to the workmen who carried out the work, and also say "thank-you" from the businesses and town centre users for a job well done.
