SAILING: Roger Stretton and last-minute stand-in crew Andy Calder held off the opposition to win the GP14 title in a close Jubilee pursuit race at Trimpley Sailing Club.
Tom Rogers raced his Laser against newcomer Phil Windley but was handicapped after winning his first race easily.
Windley took one of the final two races but Rogers overhauled his rival in fresher winds to take the trophy.
The club's GP14 open race saw a good turn-out of crews from around the Midlands and beyond.
There was plenty of close and exciting racing in surprise conditions as the breeze dropped and heavy rain set in.
The winners were Tim Hemsley and crew Stuart MacManus from South Staffs SC .
Phil Quarry and crew Jane Alexander won the final race of the three and were the top Trimpley sailors home in third place overall.
