ROWING: Bewdley Rowing Club women's vet C four, stroked by Jo Atkinson and coxed by Lindsey Salmon, won their event at Worcester Regatta.
Richard Jackson was also successful, adding the junior 15 single sculls to his season's tally.
Lewis Beech beat strong opposition in multi-lane racing to win by five seconds at the Metropolitan Regatta at Eton's Dorney Lake.
Beech had a poor start, which left him trailing in the field, but he showed great maturity and passed the other scullers for victory.
Also representing Bewdley was the women's S2 four of Lindsey Akers, Rachel Bannantyne, Siobhan Race and Ailsa Pybus.
They also improved after a bad opening but just missed out on the winners' medal in a close finish.
At Northwich Regatta, the women's S1 four of Sue Lewis, Mel Hinton, Emma Hinton and Jane Holland won their event as did Beech in the J-15 single sculls.
