A FIVE-year fund-raising campaign to raise £80,000 for much-needed church repairs will be boosted with a fete on Saturday.
Parishioners of St Mary's Church, Harvington, are raising the cash to repair everything from a leaking roof to crumbling walls.
Fete organiser Margaret Hennessey said: "It is a long project because the work will take five years due to the precise materials needed.
"Thankfully the rain does not leak onto the congregation but there are major repairs which need doing.
"We got the campaign off to a very successful start with our flower festival last weekend and we hope to have a good turn-out for the fete."
The fun runs at the church, which is opposite historic Harvington Hall, from 2pm.
