A MUSEUM set up to preserve a proud part of Kidderminster's industrial history is set to welcome its 1,000th visitor this weekend.
Kidderminster Carpet Museum, which is based at the New Meeting House, Church Street, has been open on Saturday mornings between 10am and 12.30pm since September 2000.
Visitors to the attraction this weekend will be able to see a working 19th century handloom producing Kidderminster Carpet.
There will also be a display of Axminster picking, exhibitions of photographs and other artefacts, and recordings of looms in action.
