TOM Wolfendale's 66 and a four wicket haul from Dave Sutton were the highlights of Colwall's 92 run win over Apperley.
Colwall lost the toss and were put into bat on a soft wicket and struggled early on as they suffered the losses of Dave Powell (16) and Pete Thomas to leave them at 35-2.
Wolfendale's and Tim Riley's recovered to put on 92 for the third wicket with Wolfendale reaching his second consecutive fifty.
With only 81 scored off 30 overs though Colwall were forced to sustain an assault on the run rate in the latter overs at the cost of Riley for a patient 32 and Wolfendale.
A mini collapse saw Colwall fall to 139-6 before Jordan Kontarines' rapid 23 helped accumulate 41 in the last five overs and Colwall to 174-8 after 50 overs.
Apperley's poor reply could only muster a below par 82 runs which would have been less but for 16 wides.
Dave Powell's neat catch at square leg off Pete Thomas' delivery started the downfall before Josh Hornyold grabbed two wickets.
Just two Apperley batsmen reached double figures and only Gorton's late feisty 22 runs gave the visitors some respectability as Sutton tore through the middle order to claim outstanding figures of 4-15.
