THE Old Vigornians excellent start to the season ended with a seven wicket defeat at the hands of Coombs Wood at New Road on Saturday.
The OVs collapsed from 120-3 to 159 all out after being put in on a damp ptich.
Dave Mendham top scored with 36, and Anthony Gilgrass was well set when he was the victim of a freak run out on 30.
Carl Whyte's 91 not out was the mainstay of the Coombs Wood reply.
The seconds secured a 99 run victory in the reverse fixture.
Ian Bell finished with amazing figures of 22.2-11-20-7, as the home side were bowled out for 64, in the 45th over.
Earlier Robin Bishop top scored with 50 in the OVs total of 163 for 7 in 50 overs.
