A BEWDLEY woman went nowhere on a marathon walk - but her efforts paid handsome dividends for charity.
Katja Lloyd, 31, decided to step out to boost Cancer Research after her mother, a neighbour and a colleague were diagnosed with the disease.
She took to the treadmill at Sands Health Club in Kidderminster to walk 26.2 miles in four hours 23 minutes and raised more than £650.
Katja, who hails from Finland, was supported by her husband Glyn, friends and club staff.
Katja, who works in the accounts department for a computer firm at Redditch: "It was really worthwhile and I may repeat the marathon one day. My mother, my colleague and a neighbour were diagnosed with breast cancer, but luckily all three have been treated successfully."
