REGARDING the story headlined "Traffic Plan Objections" (Evening News, Friday, June 7) this showed yet again this special skill of county councillor Stephen Clee (right) of presuming to read other people's minds and getting it totally wrong.
My reaction to the Bewdley Parish poll is well summed up by my deputy in Bewdley, Jeremy Ferguson. In Quotes of the Week in your sister journal, the Kidderminster Shuttle, he stated that "we live in a democracy and I can't be opposed if the people have voted against the scheme". All my health concern colleagues on Bewdley Town council totally concur.
The second special skill of Coun Clee is also well demonstrated. He waits till the match is over before deciding which team he played on.
Still, it's nice that he's come out of the closet at last. Some of us felt he never would.
FRANK BAILLIE,
County councillor for Rock and Bewdley.
