POPULAR TV and stage actor Tony Britton is irascible Salford boot-shop owner Henry Hobson in a new production of the comedy classic Hobson's Choice.
Directed by Jonathon Church, artistic director at Birmingham Rep, the play, best known for the film version starring Charles Laughton and John Mills, can be seen at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, from Tuesday until June 22 where it completes a national tour.
The cantankerous widower strives to master his three headstrong and independently minded daughters but meets his match when his eldest daughter, Maggie, sets her sights on marriage.
