DEFEATS on three of the five rinks failed to prevent hosts Evesham overcoming Pershore by seven chalks in the Concorde League.
The damp conditions suited neither side but, a 28-11 success in the top match in an otherwise tight contest, guaranteed a home victory.

REVENGE was the objective after a defeat earlier in the season at the hands of Oakfield but Bidford failed to land a win when they travelled to Rugby on Sunday.

Bidford held a two-shot lead after five ends that they stretched to ten after ten ends.
The hosts prevailed on all four rinks with the quartet of Paul Clarke, Maurice Burman, Norman Arnold and Alan Halliwell recording the best win by ten chalks.
