STAFF at a Bidford hairdressing salon showed they were a cut above the rest when they designed a winning window display for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Hair by Chris in High Street, clinched first prize in the shop window competition, which was organised by the village's jubilee committee and attracted 21 entries from various shops and businesses.
The salon staff received a £20 prize and certificate for their entry, which used a variety of royal memorabilia in its winning display and was picked by a panel of judges which included parish councillor Sonia Blick.
Hairdresser Anita Bailey said: "We found some photographs in magazines and a number of clients lent us mugs and other royal memorabilia. We were thrilled to win the competition."
