THE British bulldog spirit came out at Sunnyside Pre-School and Nursery this week with a two-day Jubilee Tea Party.
The children at the school in Barbourne Terrace, Barbourne, were taught all about Britain and British customs on Wednesday and Thursday.
They took part in five workshops looking at the history and geography of the country.
The 100 children, aged two to eight, also participated in some traditional games, learnt about the Union Jack and enjoyed some traditional British cookery.
"It went fantastically well," said Early Years teacher Susan Davies. "Their parents have said how much they enjoyed it. It was all about learning about their country, and they were all really enthusiastic."
