AN open day at Court Equestrian, Priors Court, Lower Ferry Lane, Callow End, is being held on Sunday from 10.30am. The activities taking place throughout the day include riding demonstrations, pony rides and dog agility. Refreshments are available. Dogs are welcome but on a lead!
Callow End Primary School is holding a summer fete next Saturday, June 22, from 3pm-5pm. Among the traditional attractions there will be go-karts, a children's pet show, fingernail painting, milk the cow, face-painting, beat the goalie and a bran tub. Plants, cream teas and raffle tickets will be on sale.
Congratulations to Mrs Rone, of Lower Ferry Lane, who during the month of May celebrated her 90th birthday.
Tomorrow (Saturday) evening, there will be live music at the Blue Bell, Callow End, from 9pm onwards. Singer and guitarist Mark Bromley will be entertaining and there will be a grand raffle with all proceeds going to St Richard's Hospice.
