HOLLYBED Commoners Association parish fete and fun day was held in Church Road, Castlemorton, on Monday, June 3. The fun day was officially opened by Mr Doo (on stilts) with 60 to 70 people in attendance. Due to the inclement weather conditions many of our side shows had to be cancelled so many of the activities were held in the local village hall (which had been given free of charge for the day by the hall trustees). All activities and refreshments were free but everyone was asked to give generously to funds being collected for County Air Ambulance and Castlemorton Church bell fund. In all, £430 was raised. Over 200 people attended during the day. Thank you to everyone who helped us on the day and to all our visitors who came and supported us, because of the bad weather Malvern Hills District Council has given us permission to close Church Road again. The date proposed for our street party is July 21. More details as I have them.
On Saturday, July 13, between 10am-11am, there will be a police surgery at Castlemorton Village Hall. Your chance to meet the beat manager PC Mark Taylor to discuss any problems or general concerns.
