MALVERN Wells residents turned out in force for the family fun day (Monday, June 3) and the fete held at Sherborne Tower Care Centre on June 4. £108 was raised in aid of the Acorns Children's Hospice and over £800 (less expenses) from the fete. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we are grateful to all stallholders and providers of goods, Sherborne Tower, St John Ambulance, the clown and face-painter and a hard-working committee. We are hoping to hold a bring and share party for helpers when we look like having a fine evening.
Look out for a special edition of the Wells News which Wilf Harper, Mike Bowker and others have put together memories of the past 50 years of Malvern Wells. The cover has been specially designed by Peter Ewence.
