CAPITAL punishment seems a little extreme, even for those scum who desecrated the graves in Malvern cemetery.
I think Mr Nolan (Malvern Gazette, June 7) meant corporal punishment which would be a deterrent, quick, cheap, usually effective, doesn't require expensive cells and buildings, saves thousands of pounds each year that a prisoner is detained, doesn't remove then from their family, safeguards their job and deprives them of 'education' in prison on how to become a better criminal.
Not politically correct, but common sense and necessary.
