MALVERN'S QinetiQ has submitted tenders of more than £1 million within weeks of being included in a list of approved public service suppliers.
The research establishment was recently listed in the S-CAT catalogue as an approved supplier to local and central Government departments.
James Kirby, director of QinetiQ's software engineering centre in Malvern, said: "Membership to S-CAT has proved an important shop window to QinetiQ's services as it is recognised as an 'open and fair competition' under EU rules.
"The effort put in to achieve this successful bid has been justified and set an excellent precedent for our future growth."
S-CAT membership simplifies the bidding process by reducing the time and costs of getting IT consultancy services. QinetiQ was exhibiting this week at the Government Computing Conference and Exhibition in Islington.
