IN the U11 Bishop Trophy Nomads B fielded first, and seemed to have done a good job restricting Pershore to only 217 runs.
WORCESTER NOMADS U11s B v PERSHORE
Edwards, Watkins and Dawson shared the wickets between themselves. Nomads batting let them down however, when facing the accurate bowling from Pershore who hit the stumps 13 times. Some poor running also contributed a very low score with five run outs. Pershore came out as easy victors by 98 runs.
WORCESTER v WORCESTER NOMADS U14s
IN the WCB U14 League Nomads played Worcester away, and took the honours with one over to spare by a margin of five wickets.
Worcester were restricted to only 57-7 in their allotted 16 overs. Nomads bowling was very tight throughout, and the home side found it difficult to score runs, particularly against Nick Williams who took 2-8, and also off James Smith with a return of 2-7. James Smith it was who made the most impact with the bat, making 11, as Nomads replied, making 57-5 from 15 overs.
WORCESTER v WORCESTER NOMADS U14s
ONCE again, away to Worcester, this time in the WCB KO Cup Bedford Shield, the result was reversed, with the home side coming out on top.
Nomads batted first, and set a challenging enough total, making 93-5 in the 16 overs. Tim Gibbs 25, Rob Allen 18, Jamie Matts 14, and Matt Cleaver 11 all contributed. The run chase was a tight affair but Worcester managed to protect their wickets in the process, and it was this that helped them out in the end, reaching the target of 94 for only four wickets with two balls left.
