Amongst the latest additions to the Caf Royal is an American soda fountain, introduced by Messrs Lewis & Son at considerable cost.
The fountain, which is an ingenious construction and very handsome, manufac-tures the very finest of soda water, which runs as clear as crystal, and also provides a delightful selection of cool-ing drinks. Malvern Gazette, June 13, 1902.
Robert Taylor, Seven Stars Inn, Ledbury, applied for an occasional licence to sell from noon to 11pm in a tent at the Coronation Sports in the Football Field, on Coronation Day.
Superintendent Phillips thought that 9 o'clock would be late enough and the bench being of the same opinion. The licence was granted until 9 o'clock. Ledbury Free Press, June 17, 1902.

I see that a former resident of Colwall, Mr Bruce Banks, whose parents built a bungalow called Cranford in Mathon Road, has achieved a brilliant success in the four-day Olympic sailing trials at Torbay last weekend.
Mr Banks and J Potter have been selected for the Star Class and will compete for England at Helsinki, in the coming Olympic Games. Ledbury Reporter, June 20, 1952.

Cars belonging to hang-gliding enthusiasts are choking roads in the Castlemorton area and cutting up the common, Malvern Hills Conservators heard.
Castlemorton Parish Council has complained of congestion in the Pink Cottage area and obstruction on the road from Hunter's Hall to the Gullet Quarry. Malvern Gazette, June 16, 1977.
One of the county's oldest bell ringers on Jubilee Day last week was Mr Charlie Cox, of Much Marcle, who in his 77th year came out of retirement to help ring two six-scores and lower the bells of the village church.
He was determined to ring for the Queen's Jubilee, having rung for her Coronation, and her father's Coronation. Ledbury Reporter, June 16, 1977.
