KEMPSEY'S Old Bakery, which was sold at auction in March needing renovation, looks set to be converted into three residential units.
There were no objections from Kempsey Parish Council to converting the interior, but members did object to a proposal for another house in the garden.
"No-one objects to the conversion of the main building, so long as the frontage is kept the same," said Ann Hart, who is chairman of the environment sub committee.
"But there are objections to the second dwelling in the rear garden, the main fear being that parking would overspill into Squires Walk on a very dangerous corner.
Members recommended that any new dwelling should have adequate parking space on site.
They raised no objections to an application for change of use of another commercial property at 99 Main Road, from office to residential.
The plans have still to be considered by Malvern Hills District Council.
