PACEMAN Matt Mason is in line to make his Norwich Union League Division One debut for Worcestershire Royals against Durham Dynamos at the Riverside tomorrow.
He is included in a 13-strong squad which is again without Stuart Lampitt who is still battling to overcome a calf strain.
Australian Mason, whose first team appearances so far this season have been restricted to three matches in the Benson and Hedges Cup, is expected to take over from Duncan Catterall, who replaced Lampitt for last Sunday's rain-ruined match against Leicestershire Foxes, or Alamgir Sheriyar.
Worcs: Hick, Singh, Solanki, Smith, Leather-dale, Batty, Rhodes, Kabir Ali, Mason, Donald, Sheriyar, Catterall, Weston.
Durham youngster Nicky Peng is recalled after being dropped to the second eleven due to lack of form.
Meanwhile, heavy rain meant that only nine-and-a-half overs were bowled on the third day of Worcestershire's Frizzell County Championship Division Two clash at the Riverside yesterday.
Durham have been hit by the weather in each of their last three Championship matches, and this game is now heading towards an inevitable draw with just today left.
Resuming on 195-4, Durham finished the day on 206-5 in reply to the County's first innings total of 250.
Andrew Pratt was the only batsman to be dismissed, adding four to his overnight 63 before cutting South African paceman Allan Donald to Kabir Ali at third-man.
Danny Law is unbeaten on 37 and spinner Graeme Bridge yet to score, but a positive result for either side looks unlikely.
The game has not gone to plan at all for Durham, with their overseas run-machine star Martin Love breaking his finger in the field yesterday.
Australian Love, who has been in great form this season, has had an operation to repair the damage, but faces a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
A Durham spokeswoman said: "Martin's been for an operation to set it. It's his little finger on his right hand which has been fractured and dislocated.
"We expect him to be out of action for between four and six weeks."
