ONE of Worcestershire's MPs has published his first Westminster report - a newspaper designed to keep constituents abreast of everything happening in the corridors of power.

Mid-Worcestershire MP Peter Luff said he hoped the paper would give the public a better idea of his work in Parliament and of the issues affecting the region.

The main article in the first edition aims to emphasise the importance of listening to young people's views.

The paper also features Mr Luff's views on the proposed Throckmorton asylum centre, and his part in the campaign to re-open the Droitwich Spa canals.

He has also added a survey form to find out more about his constituents' concerns.

"I hope to produce further newspapers like this, as well as an annual report to my constituents in the autumn," said Mr Luff.

"I particularly look forward to reading responses to the questionnaire. It's very important MPs listen to what voters are saying and that they respond to their concerns."

He urged all of his constituents who have not received a copy of the paper, but wish to do so, to contact his office at the House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.
