A BOOKLET has been produced to help Worcestershire mothers who have lost babies through miscarriage to increase their chance of a successful pregnancy.
The medical research charity the Arthritis Research Campaign has produced two new booklets which outlines the problem of antiphospholipid syndrome - APS - which can cause repeated miscarriages.
The books, called Pregnancy and Arthritis and the Antiphospholipid Syndrome, explains how pregnant women can be affected by arthritis and APS. It also suggests the best types of treatment, as well as outlining the symptoms to look for.
APS can also be dealt with through a simple drug treatment, which takes the chances of a mother-to-be chance of having a successful pregnancy from 20 to 70 per cent.
Both booklets are available from the arc booklet hotline on 01636 677775 or can be downloaded from the arc website, www.arc.org.uk
