REFERRING to the letter in the Evening News from Mr K Holtom headlined "Pool needs more care" I would agree with part of the letter.
However, it would seem he does not appreciate that the pool is not run by the local authority, but is a charity and is self-funding, thanks to the efforts of the management committee.
We have made many requests to Worcester City Council for help to refurbish the pool complex.
They always claim they have no funds. Having spoken to Councillor Derek Prodger, he confirms it financed by private investment over which the council has no control.
The National Lottery administers funds via "Sports England" which require 50 per cent of the funds to be found by us.
Given the funding we would be delighted to improve facilities.
