TOP TV impersonator Alistair McGowan is the latest celebrity to call on Worcester people to slim their rubbish bins.
The comedian is backing the national Rethink Rubbish campaign, which aims to reduce the 30 million tons of rubbish thrown away in the UK every year.
"The problem is getting worse, so we need to look at new ways of dealing with it all," he said.
Mr McGowan is pictured with the world's first giant motorised dustbin at the start of its 2,000 mile UK tour, which includes a pit-stop in Worcester on Friday, June 28.
The bin, which is three metres high heigh and 2.3 metres wide, has a top speed of 15mph and forms the centrepiece of the Rethink Rubbish roadshow.
"I hope people in Worcester will come along to the roadshow when the bin comes to town - it's certainly a sight worth seeing!" added Mr McGowan.
The tour aims to encourage people to understand why they should rethink their rubbish and the simple steps they can take to reduce the huge amount produced.
